Madeline is 6 months old!

Maddy had a few "firsts" this month. She had her first meal in her high chair. She can go in the walker now. She "helped" me plant flowers for the first time. (She actually took a nap in her stroller while I planted flowers.) On May 26th Maddy showed signs of her first tooth! There is a "white spot" on the bottom front part of her gums that indicates a tooth will be coming soon. Matt & I weighed and measured Maddy ourselves this month. Our crude measurements are length 26 1/2 inches long and weight, 18 pounds. At the beginning of the month, Maddy had a growing spurt and she needed a new wardrobe. She is now wearing size 12-18 month clothing. Our home is starting to sound like a barnyard. Maddy is making the craziest noises! She is babbling and saying "da da da" to Matt's delight. She is creeping, but not crawling yet. We bought a life jacket and swim shirt for her so when the hot weather hits we'll be ready for it. We hope your summer fun starts soon too!

Our version of a photo shoot.

A teething ring is fascinating and sooo needed right now.

I can go backwards, but not forwards yet in my walker.

Dressed in my Sunday best.

My first meal in my high chair.

I can suck on my own tongue! How did that sock get off again?

I like Sesame Street. Abby Caddaby is a favorite character.

These feet are made for walking.

Y'all come back now, ya hear!

Madeline is 5 months old!

Madeline had an exciting month. She went to see Dr. Jon again and received her 2nd round of shots. Her lip went out on the first one, her brow furrowed on the 2nd one and she finally broke down and cried on the 3rd shot. What a trooper! As of the Dr. appt. on 4/14/2009 she weighed 15.5 pounds and was 25 inches long. On Sunday, April 19th Maddy rolled over for the first time! She was on the floor laying on her towel after taking a bath. Matt was home and witnessed this milestone too which was a blessing. She hasn't done it again since then, but we are always watching for a repeat. She met a lot of her family at Easter. We hosted 58 members of Matt's family for Easter. She seemed a little cranky during the festivities. We thought it was all the commotion, but she was actually catching her first illness/cold. Let's just say that there were 4 days of mom and dad playing "catcher" and then Maddy dealt with a bad cold after that. She can breathe well again and has learned that she doesn't like the "snot sucker" or Kleenex. We are all so happy that spring has finally arrived and hope the warm temperatures start coming our way. We wish everyone a happy spring!

Maddy loves helping update the blog.

I can play with the toys now. My favorite show is on - Baby Einstein.

First pair of shades.

The pink sweater & bonnet were crocheted just for me because I'm number 1.

All dressed up for Easter.

I go under the water during bath time now.

I tried the "Johnny Jump Up" and pigtails this month. Can you tell which I liked more?
